Bread History at Gurney Plaza

Location: Gurney Plaza, 170-B1-35, Persiaran Gurney, 10250 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

Gurney Plaza

Bread History occupies Lot 170-B1-35 on the basement level of Gurney Plaza, along Persiaran Gurney in George Town. The bakery is a Penang-born chain with numerous outlets across the state, including branches at Prangin Mall, Queensbay Mall, Sunshine Square, and AEON Bukit Mertajam. The Gurney Plaza location is one of two Bread History units in the mall, the other being a Sandwich Box kiosk.

The bakery produces a wide range of breads, pastries, and cakes daily, with an emphasis on freshly baked loaves and buns made without preservatives. Popular items include traditional Chinese-style filled buns, European-style crusty breads, sliced loaves for daily consumption, and celebration cakes. A separate Sandwich Box counter offers ready-made sandwiches for shoppers on the move.

Open daily from 10am to 10pm, the outlet can be contacted at 04-375 0070. Bread History also operates a Mart concept and a 24 Xpress format at selected locations. The Gurney Plaza basement floor connects directly to the mall's underground car park, making it convenient for a quick purchase on the way in or out of the building.
